The Christian Funders’ Forum (CFF), a collective of grant-makers, giving more than £70m+ in funding each year to good causes, has announced the charities that they will be celebrating at their 2024 Showcase event, to be held on Thursday 10 October at the House of Lords, hosted by BAFTA award-winning broadcaster, singer and campaigner David Grant.

The Christian Funders’ Forum Showcase 2024 will shine a light on some of the most pioneering and high-impact work that Christian-based charities are delivering across the UK, supporting thousands of people across a range of issues from homelessness to imprisonment to engaging young people in their communities and churches.

The 10 finalists will be awarded a financial grant and will have the opportunity to champion their work to CFF members as well as VIP guests.

CFF members nominated a total of 77 UK registered charities and CICs in five categories and two winners have been chosen in each – for ‘Impact’ (a project that has genuinely made a difference in their mission focus) and ‘Pioneering’ (a project that is developing activity in a unique or entirely new area of support).

Becki Hurdle, Fundraising Manager at Growing Hope, summarises their work:

“Since 2017, Growing Hope has been championing accessibility by bringing hope to children, growing hope for families and sharing hope in Jesus. They provide free multi-disciplinary therapy for children and young people with additional needs through their local clinics, in partnership with local churches across the UK.

“In 2023, 324 children were supported through direct therapy at our clinics, of which 87% of their Goal Attainment Scale (GAS) goals were achieved. The charity also supports these children’s family members and in 2023, they trained 52 volunteer facilitators to host our When Dreams Change course and Siblings Groups across the country, benefitting 97 parents, carers and siblings.

“Finally, through Growing Hope’s Accessibility Awards scheme, they empower churches and schools to be places where everyone can be seen, heard and able to belong. They currently have local clinics at London’s King’s Cross, Brockley and High Wycombe and are due to open two more clinics in Redbridge and Maidstone by the end of the year.”

The event is an opportunity to celebrate the Forum’s collaborative giving. There are currently more than 50 members in the CFF, whose combined giving to Christian missions in the UK and overseas totals over £70 million each year.

The CFF provides opportunities for members to share, showcase, learn and work together to increase the reach and impact of their grant-making and philanthropy. It brings together a powerful collective of grant-makers who are transforming lives and communities through their vital support in addressing social need, helping the vulnerable and embedding Christian values.
